Azerbaijan is leading among countries exporting electricity to Georgia

In 2025, Georgia imported electricity from Azerbaijan in the amount of $25 million, which is 2.3 times more than in 2024.
Thus, Azerbaijan took the 1st place among the countries exporting electricity to Georgia.
In 2025, Georgia purchased electricity from foreign countries in the amount of $48 million, which is 2.1 times more than the previous year.
During the reporting period, Georgia imported electricity from Russia for $11.5 million, from Armenia - for $8 million and from Turkey - for $3.5 million.
We remind you that in 2024, Georgia purchased electricity from abroad in the amount of $23.4 million, of which $11 million was the share of Azerbaijan.
