Azerbaijan increases gas production at ACG by nearly 3% in Q1

In the first quarter of 2026, Azerbaijan produced 12.6 billion cubic meters of gas, matching the figure for the same period in 2025.
Gas production at the Azeri–Chirag–Gunashli (ACG) block amounted to 3.5 billion cubic meters, up 2.9% year-on-year.
At the Shah Deniz field, production reached 6.9 billion cubic meters, increasing by 1.5%, while output at Absheron remained unchanged at 0.4 billion cubic meters.
At the same time, production by the State Oil Company SOCAR totaled 1.8 billion cubic meters, down 10% compared to the first quarter of last year.
In total, since the start of production at the Azeri–Chirag–Gunashli and Shah Deniz fields, 519 billion cubic meters of gas have been produced as of April 1, including 247.4 billion cubic meters from ACG and 271.6 billion cubic meters from Shah Deniz.
