Azerbaijan discussed expanding the activities of the Working Group in the agricultural sector with Israel

Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Israel in the agricultural sector, increasing trade turnover in the agricultural sector, and expanding the activities of the Working Group were discussed.
"The Daily Baku" reports, citing the Ministry of Agriculture, that discussions on this issue were held during a meeting between Minister Majnun Mammadov and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Israel to Azerbaijan Ronen Krausz.
The meeting also discussed the transfer of the most modern technologies in the fields of livestock and seed production, expanding cooperation in the fields of agricultural research and experimental programs, and studying Israeli experience in the field of irrigation. It was emphasized that there is great potential for expanding mutual relations between the two countries in the agricultural sector.
At the meeting, M. Mammadov provided detailed information to the meeting participants about state support for the agricultural sector in Azerbaijan. It was noted that the agrarian reforms implemented in our country envisage the further development of agriculture, and for this purpose, support measures are being implemented by the state.
M. Mammadov recalled that during his visit to Israel in January of this year, he met with the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security of this country, Avi Dichter, and got acquainted with the activities of leading centers in the field of aquaculture and innovations, modern livestock enterprises and milk processing plants, and emphasized that effective cooperation in the agricultural sector has been established.
R. Krausz, in turn, said that cooperation between the two countries is developing dynamically in all areas. The parties emphasized their interest in further expanding cooperation in the agricultural sector.
During the meeting, a wide exchange of views was held on issues of mutual interest.
