A masked man attempted to set fire to a mosque in the Lviv region of Ukraine.
The Daily Baku reports, citing the Lviv regional police.
According to the information, the incident occurred on the evening of April 28.
It is noted that an unknown person threw two bottles containing flammable liquid into the mosque and fled. The liquid in one of the bottles ignited, but the fire was extinguished by the time firefighters arrived.
The Muslim community called the incident a provocation, saying that its purpose was to intimidate believers and incite religious hostility within society.
