Arif Aghayev announces opening of a new transport complex in Khankendi.

“Next year, the opening of both the Aghdam–Khankendi railway and the Khankendi Railway and Bus Terminal Complex is planned.”
According to The Daily Baku, this was stated by Deputy Chairman of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC Arif Aghayev during the opening ceremony of the Kurdamir railway station.
He noted that the reopening of the Kurdamir station is a significant event for the railway system:
“The Kurdamir station will be integrated into the Baku–Gazakh–Baku, Baku–Balakan–Baku, Baku–Aghdam–Baku routes, as well as the Baku–Aghstafa–Baku route on weekends and holidays. This will significantly improve transport accessibility both in Kurdamir and in surrounding regions. In addition to Kurdamir, mobility will also expand for residents of the Aghsu, Goychay, Zardab, and Sabirabad districts.”
The official emphasized that modern trains will reach Kurdamir from the capital one hour faster compared to the pre-pandemic period.
