Araqchi discusses regional situation with counterparts from Türkiye, Egypt and Saudi Arabia

Iran’s foreign minister Abbas Araqchi held telephone talks with his counterparts from Türkiye, Egypt and Saudi Arabia – Hakan Fidan, Badr Abdel Ati and Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud.
The Daily Baku reports, citing the Tasnim news agency.
It was reported that the Iranian diplomat discussed regional and global issues with his counterparts.
According to the information, Araqchi has been in frequent contact with regional counterparts in recent weeks, particularly to discuss developments in the region, including US threats against Iran.
On January 30, he visited Türkiye, where he met with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his counterpart Hakan Fidan.
On February 1, Axios reported that Türkiye, Egypt and Qatar are seeking to organise a meeting this week in Ankara between Iranian officials and the US President’s Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff.
