ANAMA: Over 2,000 hectares cleared of mines in Azerbaijan’s liberated territories in a week

In Azerbaijan’s liberated territories (Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur), 47 anti-tank mines, 144 anti-personnel mines, and 1,661 unexploded ordnance were detected and neutralized between April 6 and 12.
This was stated in the weekly report of the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) on humanitarian demining operations.
According to the report, an area of 2,052.5 hectares was cleared of mines over the past week.
It was noted that demining operations were carried out by ANAMA, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the State Border Service, and four private companies in Tartar, Aghdara, Kalbajar, Aghdam, Khojaly, Khankendi, Shusha, Khojavend, Lachin, Fuzuli, Jabrayil, Gubadli, and Zangilan, as well as in the formerly occupied villages of Baghanis Ayrim, Ashaghy Askipara, Kheyrimli, and Gizilgajili in the Gazakh district.
