Anahita Bashiri: “The main reason we won gold at the World Cup is our trust in each other”

The main reason Azerbaijan’s acrobatic gymnasts won the gold medal at the World Cup held in Puurs, Belgium, was the athletes’ trust in one another.

This was stated by acrobatic gymnast Anahita Bashiri.

She highlighted the role of preparation in their success:

“We worked very hard together with our coaches. We repeatedly practiced synchronized and other routines, training consistently. The most important thing was our trust and belief in each other. All the teams that reached the final were strong, but the strongest were the representatives of Israel and Portugal. Winning a gold medal at the World Cup is a great source of pride for us. Raising the Azerbaijani flag high and winning gold at the World Cup is an unforgettable feeling.”

It should be noted that the women’s group consisting of Anahita Bashiri, Nazrin Zeyniyeva, and Zahra Rashidova scored 29.350 points to claim victory at the World Cup.
