With the new increase, the average monthly pension and the average monthly old age pension will reach 593 manats and 632 manats, respectively.

The Daily Baku reports that this was stated by Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Rashad Mustafayev during a briefing for media representatives.

According to him, between 2018 and 2025, the average monthly pension increased from 208 manats to 543 manats, while the average monthly old age pension rose from 234 manats to 578 manats.

“With the new increase, the average monthly pension and the average monthly old age pension will reach 593 manats and 632 manats, respectively. This means that compared to 2018, the average monthly pension has increased by 2.8 times, and the average monthly old age pension by 2.7 times,” he said.

Mustafayev added that the funds allocated for pension financing for this year amount to 7 billion 993 million manats, which represents a 2.3 times increase compared to 2018.

The deputy minister also noted that under the new decree, the pension capital recorded in the individual accounts of insured persons as of January 1, 2026 has been increased by 5.6 percent in line with last year’s consumer price index.

It should be noted that under President Ilham Aliyev’s new decree “On the indexation of labor pensions,” pensions have been increased by 9.3 percent from January 1 of this year in line with the annual growth rate of the average monthly wage for 2025.
