Aleksandar Vučić proposes developing a strategy for the robotization of the Serbian army

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has proposed developing a strategy for the robotization of the army, as well as establishing a unit equipped with robotic platforms.
The president made the statement to journalists following a meeting held today with the leadership of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces.
He noted that he had proposed the creation of a battalion-level unit equipped with robotic platforms, as well as conducting training for special and reconnaissance units on determining target coordinates for directing artillery and aviation fire. He also suggested further expanding the use of drones by other units.
Vučić added that Serbia will sign major contracts for the procurement of military equipment in the coming days:
“The state will sign large and important contracts for the acquisition of weapons and military equipment in the coming days. We have important visits ahead and expect to conclude additional agreements with other countries. We have placed major orders for our army. The condition of military reserves, personnel, and the supply of weapons and ammunition is significantly better compared to January.”
The head of state also stated that Serbia will establish a highly advanced, multi-layered air defense system, including electronic jamming systems, electronic warfare capabilities, weapons and equipment designed to protect troop formations, as well as systems aimed at safeguarding cities, key facilities, and critical infrastructure.
