A suspected drone crashes onto a residential building in Chișinău

An object believed to be an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) fell onto the roof of a residential building in the capital of Moldova, Chișinău, during the night of April 28.

According to The Daily Baku, Moldovan media reported on the incident.

The alert about the incident was received at around 01:00 local time from one of the building’s residents. Law enforcement officers and relevant specialists arrived at the scene.

According to preliminary information, the object was damaged upon impact with the roof. After inspection, it was removed and will be sent for detailed examination to determine its origin and potential danger.

Residents were allowed to return to their apartments after the inspection was completed.

Law enforcement authorities are continuing the investigation and are working to establish all the circumstances of the incident.
