A severe geomagnetic storm is expected

Positively oriented coronal hole streams associated with an X1.95-class solar flare that occurred today or yesterday, on January 18, are expected to deliver coronal mass ejections to Earth on January 20.

The Daily Baku reports that this information was released by the Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory named after Nasiraddin Tusi.

It was noted that, as a result, there is a possibility of a strong (G3) or even severe (G4) geomagnetic storm.
