A phone conversation took place between the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Iran

On March 23, a phone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Seyyed Abbas Araghchi.

It was noted that the regional situation was discussed during the phone call. The ministers exchanged views on possible efforts to put an end to military escalation in the region. At the same time, the importance of ensuring security in the Caspian Sea region was emphasized.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov also once again brought to attention expectations regarding the completion of the investigation into drone attacks on the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic from the territory of Iran.

The ministers also exchanged views on bilateral issues of mutual interest.
