A high-level meeting of the SOCEA was held in Budapest under the chairmanship of AZANS

The high-level meeting, dedicated to strengthening air traffic coordination, was chaired by AZANS, a division of Azerbaijan Airlines. The event focused on enhancing cooperation in air traffic management across Europe and Asia.
According to information provided by Heydar Aliyev International Airport, the meeting brought together heads of major air navigation service providers, including Uzaeronavigatsia, Kyrgyzaeronavigatsia, Kazaeronavigatsia, DHMİ, and HungaroControl.
Participants discussed issues related to strengthening interregional cooperation, improving management approaches, and ensuring flight safety. The meeting also addressed the impact of regional and global developments on air traffic, as well as approaches to maintaining operational continuity under evolving conditions.
Within the framework of the session, decisions were made regarding the safe and sustainable organization of air transport. Topics such as air traffic management, data exchange, and mechanisms for inter-agency coordination were also reviewed.
The event contributes to the coordinated management of increasing air traffic along the Europe–Asia corridor, as well as to ensuring safe and uninterrupted regional flights.
It should be noted that on September 11, 2025, at the SOCEA General Assembly held in Almaty, the director of AZANS was elected President of the organization, and the chairmanship was officially transferred from Türkiye to Azerbaijan.
