2,546 traffic accidents were recorded in Baku in 2025

Over the past year, 2,546 traffic accidents were recorded within the coverage area of ​​video surveillance cameras installed on the roads of the capital.

"The Daily Baku" reports that this was reported by the Center for Intelligent Management of Transport of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

"The analysis of these accidents showed that high speed, driving at a prohibitory traffic light, failure to observe the distance, violation of road signs and driver inattention are the main reasons. The incidents occurred mostly on central streets and avenues with intensive traffic, on Ziya Bunyadov, Heydar Aliyev, Babek, 8 Noyabr, Tbilisi avenues, Baku-Sumgayit, Airport, Sabunchu-Zabrat highways and other roads," the information emphasized.
