25 additional stops and railway stations to be put into operation around Baku by 2030

An additional 25 stops and railway stations will be put into operation in the Baku suburbs by 2030.
"The Daily Baku" reports that this was stated by Anar Rzayev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA), at a roundtable dedicated to the implementation of the "State Program for Improving Transport Infrastructure in Baku and Surrounding Areas for 2025-2030".
According to him, in accordance with the "State Program for the Improvement of Transport Infrastructure in Baku and the Surrounding Areas for 2025–2030", the railway transport infrastructure in the Baku region is being improved: "In 2026–2027, the Yeni Surakhani–Hovsan railway lines are planned to be restored, in 2026–2028 Bakikhanov–Bina–Gala, and in 2028–2030 Zabrat–Mashtaga–Baghlar railway lines, as well as the restoration of existing stations along these lines and the construction of new stations. In 2025, an analysis of the road infrastructure on the aforementioned railway lines was carried out, and design work began." A. Rzayev said that some of the design work has been completed: "Optimization work has been carried out on stations and stops along the lines to be restored, and the locations of the stations have been determined. It is planned to build or renovate 7 stations on the Zabrat-Mashtaga-Baghlar line, including Mashtaga and Baglar stations, 7 stations on the Bakikhanov-Bina-Gala line, including Bina and Gala stations, and a total of 4 stations on the Yeni Surakhani-Hovsan line.
According to him, 3 of these stations will be located in the Hovsan area: "It is also planned to provide stops at Bash Keshla and Narimanov stations, and create Kurdakhani, Fatmayi, Saray and Binagadi stops. The construction of the Darnagul stop is continuing."
