U.S. and Iran continue indirect talks despite exchange of strikes

The United States and Iran have continued indirect negotiations despite the ongoing exchange of strikes between the two sides.

According to CNN, citing sources familiar with the matter, a Qatari delegation left Tehran on the morning of June 11 after overnight talks with Iranian officials.

The report said the discussions took place while the United States was carrying out strikes on Iranian territory during the night leading into June 11.

No details of the negotiations have been disclosed.

Qatar has traditionally served as a mediator in contacts between the United States and Iran and has repeatedly acted as a channel for conveying messages between the two sides.
