A fire has broken out aboard a tanker off the coast of Oman, and authorities are investigating the cause of the incident.
According to the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations, the fire occurred in the engine room of a tanker located 21 nautical miles (39 kilometers) northeast of Sohar.
No negative environmental impact has been reported as a result of the incident.
"Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire," UKMTO said in a statement.
