Hikmet Hajiyev: The Zangezur corridor strengthens connectivity between the Caspian, Central Asia, and the Balkans

The Zangezur corridor creates favorable opportunities for strengthening connectivity between the Caspian and Central Asia and the Balkan regions.
APA reports that this was stated by Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev in a post on his X account.
“Azerbaijan and Serbia, as strategic partners and rising middle powers, play an important role in interregional cooperation – Azerbaijan in the South Caucasus and the wider Caspian basin, and Serbia in the Balkans.
The Zangezur corridor / TRIPP initiative creates favorable opportunities to strengthen connectivity between the broader Caspian and Central Asia and the Balkan regions,” the post noted.
Azerbaijan and Serbia, as strategic partners and emerging middle powers, play also an important role in interregional cooperation — Azerbaijan located respectively in the South Caucasus/wider Caspian region and Serbia in the Balkans.
