EU countries want Russia tribunal to start operational activities

We are committed to the early start of the Special Tribunal for Russia's crimes of aggression against Ukraine and the International Commission on Ukraine's claims within the framework of the Council of the European Union.

This was stated in a joint statement by the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the Council of the European Union, Antonio Costa, and the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, as reported by The Daily Baku.

The statement emphasized that the European Union will do everything in its power to increase pressure on Russia and engage the country in constructive peace negotiations.

EU leaders stated that Ukraine's future can only be secured in a secure and prosperous manner within the European Union.
