Australian airline cuts New Zealand flights amid rising fuel costs

Australia’s low cost carrier "Jetstar" has reduced flights to New Zealand due to a sharp increase in aviation fuel prices caused by the conflict in the Middle East.
This was reported by ABC, citing a representative of the airline.
According to the broadcaster, the airline has already removed around 55 flights from its schedule, accounting for about 12% of its operations on certain routes.
“We have made temporary schedule adjustments due to rising aviation fuel prices as a result of the conflict in the Middle East, as well as other cost pressures,” a Jetstar representative said.
The cuts affect both domestic flights within New Zealand (Auckland–Christchurch, Auckland–Wellington) and international routes, including flights between Auckland and Sydney and Brisbane.
