President Ilham Aliyev signs order on drinking water supply for Nakhchivan

The drinking water supply situation for the population of Nakhchivan will be improved.

The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, has signed an order in this regard.In accordance with the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on additional measures to improve the provision of drinking water to the population in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the Azerbaijan State Water Resources Agency, in coordination with the Authorized Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, shall take the necessary measures for the preparation of design and cost estimate documentation, drilling, and ensuring the provision of drinking water to the population through 40 sub-artesian wells in 38 settlements with a population of more than 80,000 people, as specified in the annex to this Order.
