Minister: Education is not only about providing knowledge, but also shaping the worldview of the younger generation

Raising students in the spirit of national and moral values, as well as patriotism, is an important and responsible task.

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Science and Education, Emin Amrullayev, made the remarks during the award ceremony of the “Best Presentation” competition.

The minister noted that one of the main goals of every education system is not only to provide knowledge.

“It is also to shape the worldview of the younger generation. Acquiring knowledge and skills in various subjects is important, but an even more significant and responsible issue is ensuring that students grow up with national and moral values and in the spirit of patriotism,” he said.

The minister stressed that the most important aspect of such competitions is not only determining the winners.

“In fact, every person participating in this process can be considered a winner to some extent. Taking part, testing oneself, and demonstrating one’s knowledge and skills is an important experience for every participant. I believe this competition has provided participants with new knowledge and experience and has had a positive impact on their personal development and worldview formation. In this regard, everyone who took part in the competition can be considered to have achieved success,” he added.
