Тегеран предупреждает Вашингтон о необходимости избегать дальнейшей эскалации

Any new aggression by Washington against Tehran will result in disaster for the United States.
This was stated by Mohsen Rezaei, a military adviser to the Supreme Leader of Iran.
He threatened to "sink the American superpower in the waters of the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman."
"We will take a large number of their military personnel captive," he stressed, adding that the "most profitable solution" for the American side is to agree to the conditions put forward by Iran to normalize the situation.
In turn, the commander of the Iranian Navy, Shahram Irani, said that if the United States resumes military operations, there will be an immediate response.
"If they take another step towards us, we will immediately take operational measures," Irani noted.
Recall that the United States and Israel launched military operations against Iran on February 28. As a result, Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and a number of senior officials were killed. After that, Iran began to strike targets it had identified in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Bahrain, Iraq, and Cyprus, where the United States and its allies have military bases, in addition to Israel.
Iran, the United States, and their allies agreed on a two-week ceasefire on the night of April 8, 2026. On April 11-12, negotiations were held in Islamabad between Iran and the United States, mediated by Pakistan. The negotiations, which lasted for hours, ended inconclusively due to differences in the positions of the parties.
The media wrote that the next round of negotiations between Iran and the United States was to be held in Islamabad on April 27, and this was also confirmed by the White House. US President's special envoy Steve Whitkoff and the president's son-in-law Jared Kushner were to fly to Islamabad on Saturday, but shortly before that, Trump announced that his representatives had canceled their visit to Pakistan.
The situation around the Strait of Hormuz, whose blockage has caused a global energy crisis, remains uncertain. Both sides have announced at various intervals that it has been opened, but shipping in the region has been virtually halted.
