Azerbaijan Parliament Committee Reviews 2025 State Budget Execution

The meeting of the Economic Policy, Industries and Entrepreneurship Committee of Azerbaijan's National Assembly has commenced.

The committee is discussing the draft law on the execution of the 2025 state budget.

The document was submitted to parliament on June 8.

Last year, state budget revenues amounted to 39.1846 billion manats, which was 5.4% higher than the previous year and 2.2% above the forecast. Budget expenditures totaled 38.6046 billion manats, up 2.4% year on year but 6.8% below the projected level.

During the year, the budget surplus reached 580 million manats, or 0.45% of GDP. The surplus was generated due to revenues exceeding projections, as well as budget organizations spending 2.803 billion manats less than originally forecast.
